Living here in the Greater Hudson Valley of New York is such a treat in the summer time. There are so many different parks, rivers and lakes, and opportunities to just enjoy wildlife. Having the chance to photograph these two Pauly boys in the Bashakill Wildlife Area made my week! I didn't even know this park was thirty minutes from my home till I went online to browse a few possible locations for our shoot. I still have to go back and find more hidden treasures, a.k.a. photo opportunities. Anyways, These boys were the sweetest to work with. Of course boys will be boys, but they sure did make my heart stop when I got the chance to really take in what I captured once I got home.
This little spot near the wetlands in the Bashakill Wildlife Area made me think of Winnie the Poo. Or maybe it was just how these boys are just being themselves, together. Oh and ferns? My absolute favorite! They are a bit hard to control around the house though. They are best suited for photoshoots in the woods.
This is my favorite from the whole session. Such real expressions, kind of moody (haha), and so innocent. A little secret. The other end of this bridge was in need of repair. These guys are hiding it well.
So I took a wild chance and demonstrated a pose by the bridge, not really knowing if they would get it. I mean, aren't adults the only ones who pose? Haha. Anyway, this guy got it. He quietly went over and just did it several moments later, when I moved on to just capturing them playing on the bridge. Sometimes kids will surprise you with their own little take.
Pure brotherly love right here. You should see the take after this. Haha. I am saving it for their future memories.
